Working Mothers and Office Politics


It is really tough to be a mother as well as work in an office. As far as the office is concerned I really feel that different staffs play different types of politics in the office. If you are the member of some office then you will definitely agree with my views. It is really hard to stand safe while so much of politics is going on. And for the women who are also the mother, the job becomes even tougher.

In fact all the jobs from cooking the food to child care are on her shoulders. A typical working mother's day starts from 4 o clock in the morning and ends at 11:00 o clock in the night. During this time she has also to do the 9 hours long office job as well.

Many do feel that the working mother gets too much vacation and compensation. However I must tell you that you will also have to realize how much hard work she has to do.

However she has also to face the politics of the office. It is generally been found that the office staffs works in as a group. The women have their own group. These groups do not leave even a single thing aside every day. If certain women gets the holiday then they are the first to question that why she has got the holiday. This makes the job even tougher.

Different companies benefit the working mothers in different ways. However the non mom group always has the complaint that why they are not provided with such compensations. This is really something which can cause a serious and never ending politics. There are some of the gossips which are quiet popular and all of them are from the daily life. I cannot say that all of them are useless but I would certainly say that most of them are useless.

You might ask one question that for all these politics that is at the fault. I would rather say that this is not the matter to find out that who is at the fault, the problem will be better dealt if the politics ends for ever. But is this possible? It is not only my idea but in fact this is the idea of all the people that these politics will never end.

The question now really arises that how this proves to be harmful. I must say that it is harmful in many ways. For example it is either the non mom gang or the mom gang none of them are able to give full attendance towards the job. This really makes the environment really unhealthy. Hence these politics should be avoided and if the working mothers are getting some compensation then you will have to realize the hard work they really put daily.

Political Correctness and Bigotry

The word "bigot" gets thrown around all the time in politics, and in many cases it is wrongly placed. I got accused of being a bigot when I suggested that peaceful Muslim-Americans should report those Muslim-Americans who intend terrorist action. This is not bigotry, it is reason.
